Player Registration
All players must be listed on their team’s roster before the tournament begins.

Rosters
Rosters are frozen at check-in. No changes or substitutions may be made to the rosters after the start of the team’s first game.

Number of Players
A team roster consists of a minimum of four players and a maximum of eight players. Four players may be on the field at one time and there must be at least three players. There are no goalkeepers in 4 v 4. Substitutions can be made at any dead ball situation but must have the attention of the referee and must occur at the halfway line.

Team Uniforms
All players must wear matching jerseys with numbers during play. Each team must be ready to provide an alternate jersey with numbers if a color conflict should arise. Home team must change in case of color conflict. Shinguards are mandatory for all levels of play.

Field Dimensions
Playing field will be 40 yards by 25 yards for all divisions.

Game Duration
Teams must report to their scheduled field 15 minutes prior to game time. A team will forfeit the game if they are not ready to play at game time at the discretion of the referee or the Tournament Director. A forfeited game is 3-0 result to the opposition. Games shall consist of two 12 minute halves with a two minute halftime OR the first team to reach 12 goals, whichever comes first. Clock: The clock will continue to run except for serious injury, where the clock wil stop.

Points
3 for a win, 1 for a tie, 0 for a loss

Playoff Overtime - Golden Goal
In the playoffs if the score is level after regulation time a period of sudden-death ‘Golden Goal’ overtime will be played. The period will last 10 minutes with a coin toss to decide kick-off and direction. The first team to score in overtime is the winner. If game is still tied Penalty kicks will be taken with each team taking four (4) each before sudden death.
Mercy Rule
If a team goes up by a difference of 15 goals by half time or by 10 goal differnce anywhere in the second half, the game will end.

Penalty Kicks
Shall be awarded if, in the referee's opinion, a scoring opportunity was nullified by an infraction. It will be a direct kick from the middle of the half-field line with all players behind the half-field line. After the kick, the offensive team cannot touch the ball again until the defensive team has touched it.

No Offside in 4v4 Soccer

No Slide Tackling
Players must stay upright and "on their feet" and may not slide tackle the opposition.

Goal Scoring
A goal is scored only from a touch within a team’s offensive half of the field.

Five Yard Rule
In all dead-ball situations, defending players must stand at least five yards away from the ball. If the defensive player's goal is closer than five yards, the ball shall be played five yards from the goal, in line with the place of the penalty.

Indirect Kicks
All dead-ball kicks (free kicks, kick-offs) are indirect with the exception of corner/penalty kicks.

Goal Kicks
May be taken from any point on the endline.
 
Throw Ins
To be used to bring the ball back into play after going out of bounds from the sides.

Player Ejection
Referees have the right to eject a player from the game for continual disobedience or as a result of an incident that warrants sending off. The teams may then continue with its remaining players. The ejected player will also be suspended for the following game.

Tie Breakers
To advance to the final round, teams tied after bracket play will have the tie broken by 1) Head to head competition 2) Fewest goals against 3) Penalty kicks from the half-line.

Protests
All protests will be resolved by the Tournament Director.
